Winner of Best Music Feature at New Zealand Radio Awards 2023

We did it again! We won a Gold Award at the New York Festivals Radio Awards AND we won Best Music Feature at the New Zealand Radio Awards 2023 for the Radio New Zealand recording of this concert that saw Māori R&B singer Rob Ruha perform with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. They were also joined by vocal group Ka Hao. They played many of Rob’s hits, including 35, for which Rob and Ka Hao won a Silver Scroll NZ Music Award for Best Song.
I mixed and mastered the recording in my studio, which was quite a challenge, and so much fun. I had about sixty or so channels to reign in and make sense of. But I already knew how it was supposed to sound as I also engineered the live front-of-house sound of the concert.
